Job Title: Divisional Analyst



work schedule is Monday-Friday.

Summary:


The purpose of this position is to provide division level accounting support to ensure department goals and objectives are achieved, in alignment with DaVita's Mission and Core Values. This includes accounting and financial review for development projects, fixed assets, inventory, medical director fees, leases, subleases, revenue analysis as well as preparing financial reports for field operations management and joint venture partners.




Qualifications:


1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related Business field required.


2. CPA or CMA preferred, but not required.


3. Intermediate MS Excel and MS Access skills.


4. Must have good organizational skills with attention to detail.


5. Strong communication skills.


6. Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently.


7. Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.


8. Two to four years experience with financial trend analysis and preparation.


9. Working knowledge of general ledger accounting functions.


10. Minimum four years of strong general ledger accounting experience required.

Essential Job Functions:


1. Center accounting review responsibilities for development projects, fixed assets, inventory, medical director fees, leases and subleases.


2. General ledger functions such as account analysis, account reconciliation, trend analysis, and financial statement research.


3. Financial reporting and partnership accounting and reporting responsibilities.


4. Responsible for training and reviewing the work of other staff accountants, as assigned.


5. Develop and implement new accounting processes.


6. Prepare communications such as memos, presentation charts, and process documentation, and coordinate with other departments, business offices and field operations.


7. Make recommendations to accounting and operational management, as well as be responsible for day-to-day decisions concerning the accounting treatment of financial transactions.


8. Prepare cash forecasts based on historical financial data and knowledge gained from working with and supporting field finance and operations management.


9. Work as a liaison between General Accounting department and field operations.


10. Create and review financial statements including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, etc.


11. Utilize general business knowledge to assist operational teammates with non-routine accounting issues and concerns.


12. Other duties as assigned.
