We have an opportunity to join our global organization as a Senior Account Manager

 

Position Overview:



This position reports to the Senior Account Manager for TRW Automotive?s North America Occupant Safety Systems business unit.  The unit currently has manufacturing facilities throughout North America with support teams located in Farmington Hills, Michigan.  Primary responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

 

Identifies, develops and secures new sales contracts with identified customers. Maintains customer contacts to ensure TRW is a preferred source in targeted products/platforms. Works with customer to identify value-added opportunities. Responsible for winning new businesses at required profitability levels. In conjunction with engineering, develops and presents product proposals to customers. Participates in customer program meetings. Coordinates with customer purchasing to negotiate pricing within policy. May take a lead role in monitoring progress of projects to meet customer commitments and internal TRW policies and procedures. Promotes cost savings and attainment of TRW and customer quality expectations. May participate in competitive analyses activities and respond to any customer issues and concerns. Participates in sales forecasting and in platform planning process. Works as part of a team to implement product line sales and marketing strategies.

 

 

Candidate Requirements:



Bachelor?s degree in business or engineering with five years progressive sales experience in a tier one supplier environment with two years experience in electro-mechanical controls preferred. PC skills required. Must be a results-oriented team member with a strong sense of urgency. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with good attention to detail. Effective at problem solving and project planning and organizing.

 

This position will be located at the TRW facility in Farmington Hills, MI.
