Senior Accountant - $20+ Billion dollar company - Fortune 12 Giant

 Senior Accountant to mid 70s plus 10% bonus, 100% 401k match up to 6%


Our client, a $20+ billion division of Verizon communications, has several light and heavy senior accountant openings as a result of a recent acquisition and subsequent relocation of numerous operations into a new corporate headquarters in Basking Ridge, NJ.

Responsibilities:
Assisting in the monthly accounting close and consolidation of financial results
Preparation of the balance sheet and income statements
Account reconciliation and preparation of journal entries and elimination entries
Providing analytical support and explanations for month end and year end close process

Requirements:
BS degree in Accounting or business degree with Accounting credits and 2-5 years of general accounting or public accounting experience. Experience with Peoplesoft, Oracle, Hyperion or other Tier 1 systems a plus but not required.

Great Benefits:
In addition to a salary range from the low $60's to mid $70's (depending upon experience), our client pays a targeted annual bonus of 10%. Additionally, the 401K program is extremely generous, currently offering a dollar for dollar match (100%) up to 5%, and effective July, 2006, the contribution increases to 100% up to 6% with the possibility of an additional 3% match (total of up to 9%) depending upon company performance.
