Position: Senior Accountant, Fixed / Capital Assets

Salary: 70 to 80k

Hudson Financial Solutions has been retained by a $1bn dollar, global organization in Danbury, CT to identify and recruit a Senior Accountant to join it's East Coast Controller's team. You will report into the Senior Accounting Manager for their R&D and Manufacturing facilities.

?

Industry experience is not required, but you will have a solid track record in Capital Asset or Construction Accounting.

?Job Summary



?
Prepare financial reports for management, including CAR spending report, and CIP reconciliation and monitoring of capital spending, using Great Plains and Crystal Reports
Annual Physical Inventory of all Fixed Assets
Monthly analysis of all spending in the Repairs/Maintenance and Supplies accounts
Maintain and report on GL project accounting
Maintain Capital assets records and reconcile related accounts
Prepare account analyses and reconciliations

?Professional Requirements

?
Bachelors degree in accounting
7+ years experience in accounting with a publicly held company
Expert level Excel skills
Sarbanes Oxley experience strongly preferred
Strong work ethic
Ability to work independently, with little supervision
Excellent problem solving abilities and skills to manage multiple assignments
Must prefer working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
