Job Title: Senior Accountant I, GL



Summary:


The purpose of this position is to provide center level accounting support to ensure department goals and objectives are achieved, in alignment with DaVita's Mission and Core Values. This includes accounting for development projects, fixed assets, inventory, medical director fees, leases, subleases, cash accounting and preparing financial and ad hoc reports for management.

work schedule is Monday-Friday.

Qualifications:


1. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university


2. Advanced MS Word and MS Excel skills


3. CPA/CMA preferred


4. Must have good organizational skills with attention to detail.


5. Strong communication skills.


6. Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently.


7. Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.


8. Working knowledge of general ledger accounting functions.


9. Minimum four years of accounting experience required.

Essential Job Functions:


1. Center accounting responsibilities for development projects, fixed assets, inventory, medical director fees, cash accounting, leases and subleases.


2. General ledger functions such as journal entry preparation, account analysis and account reconciliation.


3. Financial reporting and ad hoc reporting responsibilities.


4. Responsible for training and reviewing the work of other staff accountants, as assigned.


5. Develop and implement new accounting processes.


6. Prepare communications such as memos, presentation charts, and process documentation, and coordinate with other departments, business offices and field operations.


7. Make recommendations to management and responsible for day-to-day decisions concerning the accounting treatment of financial transactions.


8. Other duties as assigned.
