Our large and well known client located in Fredericksburg, VA is searching for a Senior Accountant. This position is open due to the company's rapid growth. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, ad hoc reports, and other reliable information useful in making operational decisions. Responsibilities include: 1. Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP 2. Account reconciliations 3. Analyze and review accounts on a monthly basis 4. Analyze reserves and accruals and make necessary adjustments on a monthly basis 5. Provide support to department managers 6. Prepares information for internal and external audits, tax preparation, and federal, state and local reporting 7. Reviews the work of staff accountants 8. Performs research of complex accounting practices 9.
