Senior Accountant - Large Publicly Traded Company

Responsibilities: Researching, analyzing and reporting on issues that affect the company in the areas of financial, disbursement, regulatory or property accounting. Preparing financial reports in a timely manner to accurately reflect the financial status of the company. Assuring accounting integrity on corporate financial data. Demonstrate accounting knowledge and application of accounting principles to assigned work. Perform special projects that fall under responsibility of incumbent's supervisor. Recognize errors/problems and provide and implement solutions. Demonstrate understanding of policies, procedures/practices of the company. Responsible for fixed asset accounting. Manage and review accounting indicators and accounting controls ensuring GAAP and SOX compliance.


Requirements & Qualifications: Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or undergraduate degree in related discipline. Minimum of five years accounting experience as an accountant in a public company with solid understanding and application of GAAP. CPA degree or other professional designation is highly desirable. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Proficient process/project management skills.Strong organization skills. Ability to guide junior level staff when needed.Ability to collaborate effectively with business unit personnel to resolve outstanding issues as it relates to accounting.
