Senior Accountant Non-Profit (AW)

My client a Non-Profit woman's right organization seeks a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to prepare and process all monthly transactions and assist the Director of Finance & Administration in the monthly close of the accounting books and maintaining adequate and sound financial and internal controls. Responsibilities: ľEnter invoices and cash receipts into accounting system. ľRun credit card transactions. ľPrepare daily deposits. ľInterface with other staff members to maintain accurate cash receipt log, PO log, and deposit batches. ľEnter, collect, and reconcile on-site cash receipts at meetings maintaining appropriate registration forms and receipt documentation. ľEnter vendor invoices into accounting system and produce weekly aging reports for approval of timely vendor payments. ľPrepare check vouchers with proper coding. ľEnter payroll changes in payroll software and distribute bimonthly pay stubs. ľManage petty cash distribution, documentation, and reimbursement. ľPrepare monthly journal entries and enter into accounting system. ľAssist in reconciling general ledger accounts on a monthly basis. ľMaintain adequate and complete filing system for A/P, A/R, and payroll including monthly general ledger reports. ľAssist in preparing audit schedules and reports. ľOther duties as assigned by the Director of Finance & Administration.
