Senior Accountant (RF)

Provide budget oversight and coordination for the client’s department that handles preservation-based community and economic development programs. The department provides financial services and technical assistance on historic real estate re-hab and adaptive use projects. Programs include $8 million in revolving fund mortgage loan programs, and fee-for-service contracts with hundreds of local communities nation-wide. Accountant provides departmental financial information to the Vice President, management staff, and Board members in order for them to make operating decisions. Provides monthly loan fund financial statements; tracks departmental budget and provides regular actual-to-budget performance updates; educates department staff on use of budget and financial statements; provides detailed analysis of finances and any problems areas. Handles departmental accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash receipts, journal entries, investments, billing, and job costing. Coordinates annual budget process for the department, from inception to completed product.
