Senior Accountant-SEC Experience Required

A Fortune 500 company in a Northwest suburb of Chicago has an opportunity for a Senior Accountant, who has experience with SEC reporting.  If you are a career driven corporate climber with a public accounting background, you may be an ideal fit.

 

 

Responsibilities

 Assists in preparing all financial SEC filings (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, etc.), Drafting of disclosuresReview of supporting documentation prepared by other members of the team, Coordination of management and external auditor review Coordination of quarter and year end filingAnnual report preparation Evaluate current and proposed accounting and reporting practices and ensure financial reporting compliance with GAAP and SEC regulationsDaily accounting functions as needed (ledger, fixed assets, consolidations, etc)

 

 

Requirements

 Bachelors degree in AccountingCPA requiredMinimum 3-5 years progressive financial accounting experience (w/ some public accounting preferred)Financial reporting experience for a publicly traded organization (10q, 10k)Experience in a leadership / management role of at least 5 staff
