Senior Accountant--Third Party Administrator

Our client, a specialty property and casualty insurance company located in Buffalo, NY, has an immediate need for a Senior Accountant to perform the following duties:

 

Third Party Administrator Claim Accounting:

--Review of TPA claims account reconciliations to Loss runs

--Responsible for reserve analysis preparation work

--Ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions.  Includes analysis, reports, and generation of journal entries.

--Records, maintains and analyzes TPA reconciliation process

--Also mentors and supervises Staff Accountants

 

Qualifications:

--BA or BS in accounting or business; CPA a plus but not required

--5 plus years insurance experience; property and casualty preferred

--Competent in use of general ledger software and fixed asset software

--Knowledge of Excel also required
