Senior Accountant for Insurance Company in Montgomery County- up to 60K!

Publicly traded Insurance Company in Montgomery County is in need of a new Senior Accountant!

Responsibilities:
Perform general accounting duties (journal entries, general ledger uploads)
Responsible for timely and accurate analyses and reconciliations
Develop and maintain interfaces and uploads between operating systems, general ledger and financial reporting software
Design and develop financial reports using report writing software
Assist with maintenance of general ledger account code additions, changes and associated report mapping
Maintain and document internal control procedures in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxle requirements
Provide supporting workpapers in response to audit, regulatory and internal management requirements

Requirements:
BS Accounting
3-5 years accounting experience
Insurance industry experience is a huge plus
Property and Casualty insurance knowledge a plus
Reinsurance experience a plus
Strong interpersonal, analytical, project, and technical skills
Excellent communication, time management, and problem solving skills
Strong motivation.
Willingness to take on new responsibilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office software
Knowledge of Sunguard's EAS General Ledger or Brooke's (TCP) annual statement software is a plus
Knowledge of Crystal reports or Biznet report writers is a plus.
