Senior Accounting Manager

Position Description: My energy client is looking for a super polished Accounting professional! You will be responsible for a nalyzing new accounting pronouncements for impact on companies. Propose solutions to all types of accounting and reporting issues. Propose and implement internal control changes. Ensure compliance with SFAS 133 in all realms of the risk management process. Perform monthly regression analyses to ensure continued effectiveness of hedging relationships. Review new hedging transactions for compliance with the hedge accounting requirements of SFAS 133. S upervise staff in the execution of administration of risk management activities.





Position Requirements:

Bachelors in Accounting.
*
Extensive knowledge of SFAS 133.
*
Experience with energy derivative instruments.
*
3 to 6 years experience.
*
CPA certification.
*
Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), prioritize work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
*
Big 4 Public accounting experience
*
Knowledge of Canadian GAAP
