This position is responsible for supervising Best Buy's compliance federal/international income tax filing requirements. This position will assume lead point-of-contact responsibility with various areas of the business to ensure that business operations are appropriately reflected in the various filings. This role will also have lead point-of-contact responsibility on US and foreign country tax audits, tax controversies, and understanding federal/international tax implications of business changes. 
Lead process development to document support for tax return filing positions, leveraging best-in-class technology.
Supervise preparation of federal/international income tax returns using the company's tax software.
Independently interact with and negotiate US and foreign country tax audits and various controversy matters.
Interact with senior financial management to develop accounting and systems fixed asset solutions.
Partner with senior financial management to determine the federal/international tax impact of the company's operational changes.
Proactively understand current federal/international tax developments impacting the company and develop appropriate communications to key business leaders.



Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required

CPA  required

6+ years experience with preparation of increasingly complex business federal/international tax returns in public accounting or large corporate tax department

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Written and spoken fluency in Mandarin Chinese

Advanced degree preferred (Taxation)
