Senior Analyst, Financial

Job Description: The Portfolio Analytic Group is currently seeking a Senior Portfolio Analyst/Analyst who is an experienced SAS user in data manipulation, customer account management, vintage analysis, report generating and financial analysis and or statistical modeling.
The incumbent is expected to utilize appropriate analytical/statistical methodology to leverage the internal data to increase customer values.

Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with Business Manager/users to identify the business problems and utilize the appropriate analytical method to develop solutions
2. Work closely with IT Staff to implement any approved business solutions
3. Leverage the internal data-mart to identify opportunity of increasing customer values such as segmentation scheme, customer behavior pattern etc.

Requirements:

1. Master's degree or PhD in quantitative areas such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Operation Research, or Computer Engineering with course works in Statistics
2. 1 to 3 years of quantitative analytic experience in using SAS/STAT, SAS/SQL, and or data manipulation in PC-SAS or UNIX-SAS environment, mid to high level of Microsoft Office skills such as words, excel, power point and access
3. Have initiative to identify business issue and propose and develop solutions to the problems.
4. Strong oral communication, presentation and writing skills

 Preferred Requirements:

1. 2 to 3 years of experience in managing customer accounts such as segmentation using various granularities of data in industries such as Credit Card, Mortgage, or Auto-Finance

2. Ability to automate monthly reports using combination of SAS, Visual Basic and EXCEL
