Senior Associate, Advisory

We are currently seeking a Forensic Technology Services (FTS) Senior Associate, Database to join us in our San Francisco office.

KPMG ForensicSM uses computer forensic and data analysis techniques to help our clients detect fraudulent activity and other forms of misconduct. In addition, KPMG LLP, the U.S. member firm, operates the Cypress Technology Center (CTEC), which offers sophisticated technology tools and skilled professionals to help clients reduce litigation costs and risks in the areas of evidence and discovery management and the acquisition, management, and analysis of large data sets.

Responsibilities:

?Design data analysis routines/tools to detect fraud and/or control weaknesses
?Assist clients in detecting and preventing fraud in their business
?Train staff level team members in data analysis techniques and tools
?Interact with clients and other external sources to obtain relevant information and document findings
?Evaluate client internal control structures and data to identify weaknesses and associated risks
?Perform statistical analysis on samples and interpret results
?Summarize, analyze, and prepare analysis reports and findings in a clear and concise manner
?Assist in evaluating general risk faced by clients in a particular industry and the impact of those risks on an organization
?Collect information and documentation that may be treated as evidence
?Perform basic financial statement analysis

Qualifications:

?Experience with data analysis or database packages such as SQL Server, Oracle, SAS, Microsoft Access, or IDEA
?Three years of experience in data analysis, conversion, mining, or migration
?Strong analytical, research, statistical sampling and quantitative abilities
?Excellent written and verbal communication skills
?Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize changing work loads
?Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and to be resourceful
?A team player with a positive and energetic attitude
?Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, or PowerPoint
?Moderate to extensive travel
