Senior Billing Clerk

Position:   Senior Billing Clerk

Location:    Mansfield, Massachusetts

Reports to:    Supervisor of Billing

Responsibilities:

? Generate monthly invoices

? Process A/R Month End Close

? Review landfill transactions and edit/void tickets as necessary

? Set up new landfill/transfer station accounts

? Review edits and changes on reports

? Review special waste accounts to ensure appropriate billing

? Respond to customer inquiries on billing matters and assist customers in resolving issues via internal personnel

? Match weight slips with invoices

? Review intercompany billing

? Direct the tracking of missing payments through corporate check research via A/R personnel

? Upload and review landfill PMT daily

? Review customer account adjustments submitted daily to billing

? Interface with Customer Service, Sales, and Collections

 

Qualifications:

? High School Diploma or equivalent is required, an Associate's Degree or above is preferred

? Experience with Accounts Receivables and strong knowledge of billing procedures a definite plus

? Self-starter with strong motivation and flexibility

? Working knowledge of service codes and transaction codes

? Excellent communication, data entry, and telephone skills

? Previous supervisory experience

? Proficient in PC applications used to analyze financial information such as Microsoft Excel and a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word

? An understanding of MAS and AS/400 systems

? An understanding of PC Scales and landfill PMT

? Knowledge of waste industry operations and the WMI organization
