JOB SUMMARY


Responsible for analyzing and administering certain components of field compensation: including tracking, administering and reporting for bonuses, loan forgiveness, and deferred compensation contributions. Works closely with other related departments (i.e. commissions, recruiting, payroll and accounting) to ensure these plans are implemented and accounted for properly.


Responsible for providing timely and accurate production based reporting. Responsible for designing and developing needed reports in the commission system. Serve as liaison with other areas of the company to ensure production based reporting is done on a consistent basis.


Responsible for analyzing and performing scenario analysis on proposed compensation changes. Develop and provide models to support compensation related business decisions. Serve as SME on sales compensation in regards to commissions, bonuses and reward programs, consulting with business leaders to determine effectiveness of programs and make recommendations for modifications as needed. Design business rules in commission system to efficiently support the administration of compensation and incentive plans.


Play a critical role on the commission system conversion team. Define and document compensation processes, design business rules and lead testing efforts. Drive efficiencies and automation in processes.


Minimum Requirements


Education


Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or other related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Experience


1. 10 years related work experience. A minimum of six years' experience performing complex business analysis in support of management decision-making and three years sales compensation design.


2. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in order to convey complex instructions.


3. Ability to identify underlying causes of business issues and recommend appropriate corrective action.


4. Good general business knowledge and exposure to a variety of business situations, finance and economics concepts and theory, and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).


5. The ability to handle multiple concurrent projects, keeping abreast of each, and being able to make decisions on each.


6. Strong statistical and quantitative analysis skills to include the ability to discern user needs from vague or incomplete requirements.


7. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Packages an emphasis on excel and access. Business analysis, data quality management skills. Ability to use and comprehend analytic tools.


Preferred Qualifications


1. Masters degree in business, accounting or related field.


2. Eight plus years performing complex business analysis in support of management and decision-making.


3. CPA/CMA strongly preferred.


4. Detailed knowledge of the products and services offered by the Company as well as detailed knowledge of the accounting applications of those products and services.


5. Experience with JDE and PeopleSoft general ledger and fixed assets with query expertise.


Technical skills?


Understanding and previous use of a Windows-based computer system.


Proficiency with spreadsheet modeling.


Ability to navigate on the Internet.
