Description:
This position will:

>Develop an annual audit schedule for the disability and credit claim paying TPA(s) based upon a risk assessment that includes the date of the last audit, the findings of the last audit, the total volume of claims paid, the extent of the TPA?s claim paying authority, and the check disbursement function;
>Work with the profit centers on an ongoing basis to review the appropriateness of the audit program and customize the programs based upon the functions of the TPA and the product lines administered by the TPA;
>Analyze and assess the financial impact of audit findings. Report such findings to the Profit Center with appropriate recommendations for improvements for the profitability of the Profit Center. Recommend improvement in operational efficiency including work flow and system improvements where warranted;
>Analyze and assess the controls in place between Home Office and TPA vendors. Recommend improvements and work with Internal departments to implement changes where warranted. Recommend Fraud training where warranted;
>Work with the Sarbanes-Oxley Manager to assess the internal controls and testing parameters for 404 compliance to ensure that the controls address the risks and that the narratives are representative of current TPA workflow between Home Office and the TPAs;
>Review the TPA ?s complaint logs to ensure that the Profit Center is assured of the timeliness of response and that the appropriate TPA signatures are affixed to the responses. Obtain copies of logs and submit to the Sarbanes-Oxley manager for 404 compliance review;
>Conduct TPA Claim Audits. Report findings to Senior Management and ensure corrective action;
>Conduct Claim Quality Reviews. Report findings to Senior Management and training department.
