Senior Consultant - Packaged Solutions, Davenport

RSM McGladrey, one of the nation's leading business consulting and tax firms, has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Consultant located in either our Davenport, Iowa office or Schaumburg, Illinois office. The IT Consultant works with client companies in the installation, implementation and support of accounting/business solutions, including Great Plains software systems. Responsibilities include:
? Providing day-to-day technical application support for client companies.
? Installing software within the Microsoft Business Solutions line of products, primarily Great Plains on SQL platforms, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, inventory, order entry and purchasing modules.
? Working closely with clients in the configuration and migration to new systems.
? Performing and managing integration of the solution, as well as assisting implementation teams with training issues.
? Customizing report design and technical support of the software,
? Providing timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations.
? Demonstrates expertise in an industry or functional area and builds a strong reputation in the marketplace.
? Demonstrates commitment to the Firm?s People Philosophy by modeling appropriate behaviors, and acts with respect and dignity in interactions inside and outside the Firm.
? Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience with installation, implementation, and support of accounting/business solutions. Additional requirements include:
? Associates Degree required, Bachelor?s degree preferred, in Accounting or IT and/or combination of education and accounting experience.
? Minimum of 3-5 years experience working with software installation and migration, Great Plains strongly preferred.
? Basic understanding and hands-on experience working with MS SQL Server.
? Proficiency in the basics of networking (data communications) is required along with familiarity of various operating platforms.
? Experience working with accounting software applications, preferably Great Plains.
? Excellent client skills and customer relationship management skills, with proven ability to consult to CEOs, CFOs and business owners.
? Ability to work independently on client site, as well as contributing as an effective team member
? Solid understanding of business and information technology processes.
? Some travel required.
