Senior Cost Accountant

Job Summary This position is located in Sylacauga, Alabama.

This position will support the operations finance for the Fertilizer and Growing Media (FGM) division. This will include general accounting and product costing support, financial analysis related to fertilizers and growing media manufacturing operations, reporting and other ad hoc tasks as needed.

?Labor reporting
?Material use and price variance
?Cost and variance analysis
?Budgeting
?Forecasting
?Month end close
?Annual standard setting
?Travel to different plant locations


Education and Experience Profile
An equivalent combination of:
?A Bachelor's degree in Accounting and
?Total accounting experience a minimum of 7 years with a minimum 3 years in Standard Cost Accounting.


Required Skills
?Extensive knowledge of Excel is required; knowledge of Power Point is preferred but not required.
?Knowledge of PeopleSoft is preferred.
