Senior Cost Accountant/Manager

Large, international, public manufacturing located near Hobby airport is seeking a senior cost accountant/manager. This is an excellent opportunity to move into a management role (will supervise one employee). Responsibilities include: • Analyzes and calculates product costs for inclusion in either cost of sales or inventory. • Evaluates cost of goods sold and provides explanations for performance outside of acceptable ranges. • Provides support to proposals department in estimating costs of products. • Analyzes manufacturing expenses and compares to forecasted results. • Recomends cost accumulation processes and interpretative methods to manufacturing. • Supervises one individual who is responsible for payroll function in the collection of hours to facilitate calculation of payroll.

Qualifications :
Qualified candidates will have: An undergraduate degree in accounting, 3-5+ years of experience, strong cost accounting experience (standard/average cost) in a manufacturing environment. CPA is a plus. For immediate consideration, please email your resume confidentially to
