JOB PURPOSE:

To support the on-going development of our IBMS

product and the deployment of this product to our clients

in regards to any required Database Administration

tasks.

Must have 5 yrs DBA experience and extensive Linux

Administration would be preferred.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

? Supporting internal database environments (running on 9i RAC and 10G)

? Supporting internal Linux Cluster environment

? Supporting internal 9i Data-Guard failover system

? Applying submitted code changes to internal databases

? Reviewing development code in terms of error resolution and performance tuning

? Performing database clones/installations

? Performing releases of our IBMS product

? Performing installations/upgrades of our IBMS product to client environments

? Trouble shooting reported issues from clients including performance tuning

GENERAL

? These duties and responsibilities may be changed in accordance with the needs of the company?

This is not intended to be an exhaustive or exclusive list of duties. You may be required to carry out any other associated tasks to ensure the successful delivery of objectives.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

? At least 5 years DBA experience

? Strong PL/SQL knowledge is essential especially the ability to review code in terms of error resolution and performance tuning

? Oracle 9i RAC is essential

? 10G, AS and BI exposure is preferable but not essential

? Familiarity with Redhat Linux Advanced Server at administrator level is essential

? Good all-round understanding of Windows, networking (Citrix etc.) as well as various hardware platforms
