Software Project Managers lead the day-to-day development of one or more software applications developed by JCI Electronics. The position involves technical leadership, project management, and team leadership. A Software Project Manager's responsibilities are many and varied; including change management, customer contact, establishing priorities, exhibiting discipline in software development, and design and development of embedded software for the automotive environment. A Software Project Manager will have 7-10 years of software development experience minimum and a background in real time embedded systems. It is strongly desired that a person will have automotive industry and project leadership experience. A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science is required. Demonstrated skills in project planning, verbal and written communications, customer interaction, as well as an understanding of the CMMI is required.
