Senior FInancial Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for providing advanced accounting duties related to the Corporate Accounting/Finance department.  These activities include maintaining and monitoring groups of accounts, performing analysis and account reconciliation, and financial reporting in an accurate and timely manner.

 

Duties include: updating, reviewing, reconciling and managing various accounts, balance sheet, general ledger, statements, budget, and spreadsheets; processing required month-end journal entries; coding accuracy for assigned accounts; and assisting with the year-end audit.

 

Senior Accountants often assume responsibility for certain complex functions that are performed in an Accounting/Finance department.  These responsibilities are general in nature and require a self motivated, proactive approach and often involve some degree of problem solving and follow-up skills.  Examples include posting cash inflows and outflows; updating fixed asset subsidiary ledgers; identifying and reconciling account discrepancies; executing policies and procedures of accounting; and performing other duties as assigned or required.

 

Requirements

Bachelor?s degree in accounting or a related discipline

 

3-5 years of progressive accounting/financial experience

 

Strong analytical skills a must

 

Excellent oral and written communication skills required for client management interaction

 

Enterprise software, international accounting, public accounting and commercial real estate/property management experience  a plus

 

CPA certification required
