Position in Client Accounting department of  Law Firm 

 

Our department provides accounting and tax services to the law firm clients with unparalleled service in an inviting yet challenging environment. Our firm, consisting of approximately 50 professionals and support staff, specializes in Estate and Tax planning, Investment structuring and providing "Family Office" services for our primarily International clientele. 

 

Strong candidates have fiduciary accounting and tax experience including several years experience preparing and/or reviewing high net worth individual, fiduciary and private foundation returns and are comfortable handling partnership and hedge fund K-1s for tax clients. 

 

Candidates that have prepared or reviewed financial statement compilations or reviews and accounted for all aspects of investment portfoliosincluding accounting for capital changes, options, and portfolios in different currencies will excel here. Candidates should have strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills and be ready to handle client matters from start to finish.

 

The candidate will spend the majority of time accounting for client investment portfolios and preparing financial reports for clients and due diligence for trustees. Special projects and international tax reporting round out the workload. Good candidates possess excellent communication and people skills and are detail oriented.

Candidates with the following are a plus:CPA LicenseExperience with US International tax compliance and reportingExperience preparing Surrogate Court Accountings and Estate taxes
