Job Description:
The Senior Financial Accountant assists in the major functions of the monthly financial close process and acts as a key control and interpreter of financial transactions in a SOX based environment. Specifically, you will:Execute the month end close process for the total company  Analyze and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts, including the preparation of roll-forward analyses and all required reconciliation schedules Monitor and maintain prepaid expenses, accruals and other balances for accuracy and reasonableness Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation

Research, investigate and resolve accounting related issues, problems and concerns as requested by the field and/or any Corporate departmentsGather necessary accounting data and prepare special reports as requested Review and analyze month, quarterly and annual company financial statements

Assist management with monthly forecasts, annual budgets, audits and other special accounting related projectsRespond to internal and external auditor requests providing analyses concerning quarterly reviews and the annual audit Develop company wide accounting policies and procedures Work closely with other Corporate departments on accounting related needs, e.g. Treasury (Swaps) and HR (deferred comp)

Requirements:Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance CPA designation 4-6 years experience with all aspects of general accounting Solid knowledge of GAAP principles Strong PC skills with proficiency in Excel and financial accounting software Strong verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to prioritize workload to complete multiple tasks and meet monthly deadlines
