Senior Financial Accounting Analyst (GAAP)

Medical Mutual is currently searching for a Senior Financial Accounting Analyst. This position coordinates and prepares all internal and external financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). In addition to providing analysis and strategic directions to Senior Finance Management, the chosen candidate will research complex account issues based on GAAP. Recommends and implements financial policies and procedures, prepares accounting and financial statements for new acquired entities, as well as performing special projects.

Minimum Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
3. Five years of related, progressive?experience, including preparation and/or analysis of GAAP financial statements. An advanced degree (MBA) may substitute for some of the experience requirement.
4. Strong, demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
7. Strong PC skills, including use of Microsoft Word and Excel
8. Ability and willingness to travel as required with access to own transportation for business use.

Insurance/statutory accounting knowledge preferred. 'Big 4' or comparable background also preferred.
