We are seeking a senior level financial analyst who has a variety of experiences.  You could have some audit, general accounting, financial analysis, consolidations, financial reporting, etc. background, and we could have a fit.  You see, experience in multiple disciplines gives the finance team a real advantage when it comes to making recommendations  --- i.e.  we want somebody who can see the forest from the trees.

This position reports to the CFO of Travis County government, a $500 million organization with approx. 5,000 employees, located in central Texas (Austin). We offer a stable work environment with no routine overnight travel, casual dress attire, individual offices, quality computer equipment, professional development, 11 paid holidays and accrue up to 3 weeks vacation per year, flexible start of work day, and job rotation.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor?s degree in Accounting; 6+ years of relevant work experience; professional certification and/or masters degree.  To be successful in the job the candidate must possess excellent analytical, communication, computer, time mgmt, and problem solving skills.  Add?l characteristics are team player, self-starter, quick learner, ability to plan/coordinate multiple projects, meet deadlines, and a person most comfortable with GAAP, GAGAS, risk assessment, etc.  Salary commensurate w/exper.
