Senior Financial Analyst (Logistics)

This person will be responsible for analyzing, tracking and forecasting financial performance for the purpose of improving business process and production distribution related reporting systems. This role is involved in critically reviewing business opportunities in the drive to achieve sales growth, increased profitability and improved ROI and performing analysis and providing counsel and direction to personnel of operating departments. This individual will assist in the development and implementation of cost policy and underlying assumptions and framework within the existing ERP system; ensure the maintenance of systems, procedures, and controls for tracking and analyzing all product costs; and assist in the development and implementation of key indicators and operational metrics and balanced scorecard indicators. This person will collect, analyze and report that information and assist in the development of process improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiencies; ensure the maintenance of centralized operational metrics and key indicator reporting, and develop and maintain a thorough understanding of business process and the implication of systems on these processes. This person will also assist in establishing the criteria for and ensure the maintenance of the integrity of the underlying data sets within the computer systems.

A BS in Accounting or Finance is required. An MBA, CPA, CMA is preferred. Two years of business and financial analysis experience preferably within a large manufacturing / distribution environment is required. Strong experience with ERP systems is preferred. Candidates must have a working knowledge of cost accounting and a working knowledge of scheduling, estimating, and program management.
