Senior Financial Analyst - Manufacturing company

 



 

Responsibilities

Ensures the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data.  Assist the Controller and operating personnel in preparing budgets and analyzing monthly variances from the budget.



DutiesAssists the Controller in special studies to analyze complex financial actions and  prepares recommendations for policy, procedure, control or action. Analyzes financial information to determine present and future financial performance. Prepare monthly and quarterly internal Management Reports and assist the CFO/Controller in the preparation of internal financial statements, including the annual corporate budget and quarterly forecasts for Management and Board of Directors.Assist department heads in the preparation of detailed budgets and analyses of variances between budget and actual results. Reviews, approves and evaluates work to ensure quality, timeliness and adherence to policies and procedures.

 Assumes responsibility for the internal preparation of financial statements, budget forecasts, inventory and cash flow reporting.

 Coordinates activities with Manager of General Accounting and SEC Reporting and prepares supporting financial information for annual reports and regulatory agency disclosures.

 Compiles data needed for monthly Sales and Operations planning meetings.

 Researches and prepares economic reports on subjects such as rate of return, depreciation, working capital requirements, investment opportunities and performance, and impact of government requirements.

 Ensures all accounts are maintained properly and kept current.



 

Education/Experience Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.  Three to five years of financial reporting experience.  MBA or CFA a plus. SEC experience is a plus.  JD Edwards and Hyperion experience is a plus.  Computer literate at the advanced proficiency level in office application software.  Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships and to interact with upper management.  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision with a high degree of accuracy under tight deadlines.
