Senior Financial Reporting Analyst with excellent work life balance, van pool to offices

DESCRIPTION
Preparation of initial drafts of the internal and external quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and footnotes.
Communicate with various Corporate office and Division financial personnel on financial reporting and accounting matters.
Prepare consolidating balance sheets, income statements and statements of cash flows for financial statement footnote disclosures.
Ability to understand complex reporting structures and strong legal entity consolidations experience a plus.
Assist with analysis of the effects of new accounting pronouncements on the Company.
Maintain detailed schedules supporting the investments in subsidiary balances and prepare quarterly elimination entries. 
Provide guidance to division personnel on accounting for investment activity due to legal entity changes and mergers.
Account for defined benefit pension plans including reconciliations to actuarial reports.

 

REQUIREMENTS
Degreed accountant with three years of public accounting experience plus two or more years of public company financial reporting experience preferred.
Ability to research technical accounting issues and propose accounting treatment.
Spreadsheet experience using Microsoft Excel.
Good organizational and communication skills and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
CPA is highly preferred, or progress toward certification required.
