Senior Health Care Analyst - (JM10368)

The Senior Healthcare Analyst has primary responsibility for the development of contractually required customer reports, will provide ad hoc analytical support, and may direct the activities of Assistant Healthcare Analyst(s). This individual is responsible for a specific book of business and is assigned to a specific account team and will report to the Director of Finance or Senior Director within the assigned Business Unit.


Primary responsibilities will be as follows:
Development, evaluation, and reporting of key performance metrics (including financial, utilization, clinical, satisfaction, and operational) in the determination of such performance relative to contractual expectations and general performance standards as set forth by the company.
Development and assessment of new product(s) sales opportunities within an existing customer's book of business.
Production of monthly billing and reconciliation reports, analyzing drivers of variances from period to period in order to ensure the integrity and accuracy of customer invoices and supporting member details,
Actively participate with and support the Account Team (Account Manger, Clinical Director, Finance Director) and matrix team members (e.g., IT, Product, Informatics, et. al.) with the identification and analysis of data issues in support of continuous data integrity validation and quality improvement processes.

Other tasks in support of specific internal/external customer requests and for the continual enhancement of the customer relationship, as required. This may include participation in project workgroups within the organization and/or serving in a similar capacity within the customer's organization and leading or providing significant support to new customer account implementations.
Your qualifications for this position should include 3-5 years experience analyzing healthcare data, demonstrated contemporary experience using SQL, MS Access, MS, Excel, and OLAP tools such as MicroStrategy; provider contracting knowledge is a plus. Candidate must possess a minimum of an undergraduate degree; graduate degree a plus (MBA, MPH, MS) ; emphasis in finance, accounting, economics, or information systems is preferred. This individual should present with demonstrated and successful organizational and communication skills, creativity, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Some travel will be required.
