  Job Title:  Senior Internal Auditor

Job Summary

Member of the Internal Audit Team whose primary responsibility is to perform Sarbanes-Oxley compliance testing. The Corporate Internal Auditor will also perform internal financial, operational, and compliance audits and special projects, as assigned. 

 

Job Function:

 

? Perform testing of internal controls for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

? Perform internal financial, operational and compliance audits.

? Prepare work papers and written reports documenting and supporting audit procedures, results, conclusions and recommendations.

? Assist in assessing entity level risk and developing the Annual Audit Plan.

? Remain current on accounting principles, auditing standards, SOX compliance and other relevant issues through internal/external training, published materials, etc.

? Interact with individuals responsible for operations, finance, and/or information systems to gather and document information/data related to financial, operational, compliance and control assessments.

? Build positive working relationships with Audit Team members, other employees and management.

? Embrace new ideas and challenge processes to increase shareholder value.

? Conduct self professionally.

? Comply with United Agri Products Code of Conduct.

 

Education/Experience/Skills: (list minimum requirements)

 

? Bachelor?s degree in Accounting. Masters degree a plus.

? CPA, CIA, or other applicable professional certifications or candidate for certification.

? 3 plus years public accounting/auditing and/or related industry experience (internal audit, finance and operations) required.

? Previous experience with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 desired.

? SEC and corporate accounting experience considered pluses.

? Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written, oral and listening).

? Observation skills and ability to apply objective skepticism and auditor?s judgment to various situations.

? Knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards.

? Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)

? Strong initiative and ability to work independently

? Strong customer service attitude; team player; strong desire for knowledge; adaptability.

 

Physical Demands:

Ability to travel approximately 5 - 10%.
