Senior Internal Auditor

Summary of Position (Job Purpose)
Major purpose and functions of the position.

To conduct operational, financial, process, and IT reviews to recommend value-add process changes and internal control improvements for all functions within the Corporate, Distribution, and Store levels, including external partners who provide services to the Company.
Create a partnership with all levels of management to facilitate the mission of the IAD.
Assist in establishing a high level of integrity within the Corporate Governance framework.
Provide advisory services to the management team to assist in improving operational efficiencies, profitability, and the internal control environment.
Ensure that the Company is in compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act allowing certifications by the CEO and CFO.
Provide a centralized focus and visibility of risk management to the executive team.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities 
Primary responsibilities listed in order of importance

Conduct operational, financial, operational, process, IT audits of all components of the Company
Make recommendations to improve efficiencies, profitability, and internal controls and sell the changes to management in a consensus manner
Assist in conducting investigations providing a financial and process slant to the review.
Assist in conducting a formal enterprise risk assessment annually to determine the audit plan.
Conduct testing on a quarterly basis to ensure compliance with Section 302 and 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and implement new controls identified by the Gap Analysis
Assist in developing policies and procedures for the Company
Provide consultative services as requested for computer system implementations.
Be able to work with very minimal supervision
Create audit working papers and write effective audit reports

 Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
Summary of knowledge, experience and education required.

Have the requisite college degree, with additional certification (CPA, CIA, MBA, etc.)
Solid knowledge of GAAP and other governing pronouncements
Ten + years of progressive audit experience in a large retail/distribution environment
Excellent negotiation and communication (written and verbal) skills
Good proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Willing to travel up to 40% domestically
Have a high level of maturity to gain respect and confidence of fellow employees and management.
Desired Qualifications - (Desired but not required).

Working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act
Have general knowledge of audit software such as ACL or comparable
Some public accounting experience
Strongly networked and affiliated with professional organizations
