My client located in the Washington DC Metropolitan area is a leading global company, with 2005 revenues of $11 billion.  Their 30,000 employees are committed to operational excellence and meeting the world's growing business needs.  In as little as over two decades, the company has transformed from an ambitious concept to industry leader.  This growth is the result of bold and innovative development projects in the face of daunting challenges.  Due to this amazing growth they are currently searching for a Senior - International Tax Planning.
This individual will assist in all aspects of the international tax planning function including review of
International tax forms, review of financial reporting provision for international business units, tax
Research and tax planning.  This position will report to the International Tax Manager.

Responsibilities:
? Work with foreign affiliates to analyze US and foreign tax implications of proposed transactions and current operations for financial reporting and tax compliance purposes.
? Coordinate US tax law with foreign tax laws to develop optimal worldwide tax strategy.
? Coordinate with Domestic Tax Group to ensure that all international tax information is properly and timely reported on the consolidated corporate income tax return.
? Prepare and/or review foreign tax credit and overall foreign loss calculations.
? Prepare and maintain earnings and profits and tax basis calculations.
? Work closely with outside consultants as necessary.
? Assist with US and foreign income tax audits and appeals.
? Work with accounting and treasury groups at Arlington Corporate on an ongoing basis.
? Miscellaneous tax research and other projects.
? Some foreign travel may be required.


Qualifications:
? CPA a plus
? 3-5 years experience with international tax background
? Strong accounting and analytical skills
? Experience managing staff preferred
? Strong computer skills:  proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point
? Detail oriented and well organized
? Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to communicate technical tax issues with non-tax people.  Foreign language skills a plus
? Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
? Ability to multi-task

Salary/Pay Rate: $65 - 80k, 10 - 25% bonus+20 - 50%
