Senior Manager, Audit

We are currently seeking Audit Senior Managers to join us in our New York City, Long Island, Short Hills, and Stamford offices.

KPMG?s Audit practice uses a methodology that transforms the audit process from a traditional compliance-driven function to a risk-based approach by creating a framework for auditors to assess how a client's business risks affect financial statements. This approach offers a more comprehensive view of how a client's unique risk environment affects its financial reporting.


Responsibilities:

?Manage the execution of external audit engagements
?Supervise audit engagements of diversified accounts, including SEC registrants
?Review SEC filings
?Research technical accounting issues
?Manage client accounts including billing, fee analysis and new service development
?Assist with the career development of team members
?Identify performance improvement opportunities for assigned clients
?Work with other managers to help ensure the proper deployment of the audit staff







Qualifications:

?Bachelor?s degree from an accredited college/university
?United States issued CPA license
?Demonstrated engagement supervisory experience
?Working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting procedures
?Experience meeting challenging client requirements and providing exceptional service in a public audit firm
?Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and research skills
?Willingness to travel, as needed
?Seven years of current public audit experience
?Substantive experience auditing in at least one of the following industries: Banking, Real Estate, Construction, Insurance, Investment Management and Funds, Healthcare (large hospitals, nursing homes), Colleges/Universities, Manufacturing, Retail, Entertainment/Media, Communications or Information Technology
