Senior Manager, Financial Reporting

Supervise and assist in the monthly consolidation process and the preparation of the consolidated SLC financial statements as well as, various other financial analyses and reports to insure their accurate and timely completion.  Assist in the preparation of the annual report, Form 10-Q and Annual Operating Plan.  This position has the primary supervisory responsibility over the staff members of the financial reporting department.


 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Supervise and assist in the monthly consolidation process and the preparation of the consolidated SLC financial statements.  This includes:


Review of the various monthly reports prepared by the Financial Reporting Department — including the Blue BookGold BookInterest Income & ExpenseNon-operating Income ExpenseForeign Exchange Reports.

Review of operating and non-operating financial statements.

Review of the monthly consolidation journal entries.

Supervision of the elimination of interco and investmentequity ac’s.

Analyze the changes in the cumulative translation ac.

Prepare the analysis of the FX impact on sales and earnings.

Prepare the analysis of SLC’s net investment in key foreign countries.

Assist the operating units with any accounting issues or questions.

Supervise the data collection urnaround process for monthly EO Statements and the Kit Schedules.

Supervise the testing of any changes to the EO Statement or kit schedule templates.

Assist in the preparation of the Long Range Plan (LRP) and the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).

Assist in the preparation of the annual report and the associated footnotes, Form 10-K and the quarterly Form 10-Q.

Coordinate the monthly AccountingTaxTreasury Update meeting.

Supervise the administration of the Hyperion consolidation system.

Supervise the administration of the Corporate Lease Data System.

Review the monthly ROIROIC adjustments (capital lease, PH&H, note adjustments, goodwill and TM allocations).

Prepare quarterly accounts rec., inventory, and ROI report graphs.

Supervise and coordinate the preparation of government reports.

Assist on various special projects as determined by the controller.



BS degree in accounting, CPA required with an MBA preferred.

A minimum of 7-12 years of experience with a major public accounting firm or a major corporation in the area of financial reporting.

Thorough knowledge of the accounting and financial reporting rules and regulations mandated by the Financial Accounting Standards Board and the SEC.

Knowledge of the Hyperion Enterprise consolidation software as well as knowledge of Excel and the Corporate Lease Data Base System.

Good organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
