Senior Risk Analyst

Kforce is seeking a Senior Risk Analyst to develop and maintain financial models which forecast ultimate liabilities for workers' compensation and public liability claims. This position involves work with outside actuarial professionals to include dotted line accountability to the Vice President of Accounting Services. The Senior Risk Analyst will work with corporate and concept financial management to forecast business plans and adjust expense levels accordingly on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. This position will analyze property and liability loss trends to identify opportunities for safety consultants and restaurant division management to reduce claims expenses at the restaurant level. This will require interfacing with outside safety vendor and division financial and operations management. The Analyst will also develop and maintain cost allocation models for insurance expenses and assist a Director with the preparation of the annual Business Plan. The Analyst will maintain department process documentation to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404. This position will also interface with Internal and External auditors for financial accuracy and controls compliance testing. Other responsibilities include: reconcile and monitor the balances in the property and liability insurance accrual accounts, accumulate historical and projected statistical underwriting data to assist in the purchase of the company's property and liability insurance, verify/process and allocate insurance premiums and related expenses to include the audit and documentation of retrospectively rated insurance policies for prior years, maintain appropriate controls to verify the accuracy of vendor billings, develop and maintain quarterly reports for the historical performance of property and liability claims, assist the Director on special projects and provide department back-up as needed.

Candidates must possess 3-5 years of finance/accounting assignments with a BS in Accounting or Finance. An advanced degree (MBA) is preferred. Candidates with knowledge of field operations and accounting are preferred. Candidates must have excellent oral, written, and presentation skills as well as strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills. Candidates must be skilled in PC and mainframe computer systems. Strong Excel and modeling skills are also a plus.
