Senior (SEC) Financial Reporting Analyst - (JS)

Enbridge Energy Company, Inc, a leader in crude and natural gas transportation, gathering, and processing, is currently seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst (SEC) for our location in Houston, TX.  This person will be responsible for Preparing and assisting in the preparation of financial reports for management, governmental agencies, and third parties in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).  Also responsible for reporting related to the Enbridge Transportation South consolidated group.  Specific Accountabilities:

? Financial Reporting ? Assisting in filing of SEC reports including Form 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and registration statements including writing footnotes for financial statements and MD&A. 

? Assist with accounting research activities to apply FASB pronouncements and assist other accounting groups with correct and timely implementation.

?   Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX 404) internal control documentation and coordination with external auditors, as it relates to this position.

? Assist in review and preparation of monthly consolidations for the Enbridge Transportation South group of companies in accordance with GAAP and following Enbridge Inc.?s and Enbridge Energy Partners timetable.

? Prepare and assist in monthly financial reports and narrative analysis for consolidation and for inclusion in monthly reporting.

? Prepare and assist in the preparation of internal Senior Management Reporting Packets.

? Prepare and assist financial reports for management, governmental agencies and third parties in accordance with GAAP and on a timely basis.

? Assist with planning responsibilities as required such as budgeting, forecasting and long range planning.

 

Typical Qualifications:

? Four-year university degree in Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent.

? Minimum of 2 years of Public Accounting experience required.

? Minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible experience in an accounting or financial environment.  Minimum of 1 year of this experience at senior level.

? Professional designation (CPA) required.

? Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.

? Strong computer, analytical and writing skills, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.

? Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal and written communication.  This position will have frequent exposure to senior management.
