KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for all of the firmâ??s internal tax compliance activities, including preparation of federal and state partnership tax returns, property taxes, affiliated entity tax issues, tax depreciation records, payroll tax issues, sales and use taxes, periodic international tax matters, etc. This position also offers the opportunity for identifying and implementing tax planning and consulting opportunities, researching of various tax issues and composing memorandum, and working with senior management to develop strong relationships and provide value to the Executives of the firm.

The ideal candidate will have broad-based tax knowledge and experience which will allow hands-on involvement in meeting all of the various tax compliance requirements and deadlines of the firm. At the same time, besides being responsible for this task-oriented element of the position, the candidate will have a desire and ability to operate at a higher level, including being an integral part of working with the internal Senior Tax Manager and the firmâ??s Tax Committee in identifying solutions to risks and opportunities and implementing those solutions across the firm.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have at least 5 or more years of tax experience in public accounting or within a corporate tax department. Bachelorâ??s degree in accounting required. CPA preferred. Must be able to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines. Flexibility, relationship building and teamwork are important. Project management skills are important, and the candidate should have dynamic interpersonal skills, be able to communicate effectively with senior management and staff and demonstrate ability to work independently. Requires strong technical, computer and analytical skills.
