Senior Tax Analyst

This role possesses and applies broad knowledge and familiarity with a variety of tax concepts, practices, and procedures to coordinate, prepare and review all assigned federal, state and local tax returns, tax payments, financial reports, and government filings. You will ensure compliance with government regulations and established procedures, research complex tax issues, and formulate and recommend solutions. Additional duties include assisting in training of co-workers and dissemination of new or emerging issues or information, as well as to review and recommend changes to information gathering and tax filing process.
This position requires a minimum 4 - 6 years direct experience in federal, state and local taxation. This role requires an-depth technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws, along with the understanding of tax research methods with ability to interpret tax laws and prepare general tax research memorandums. Candidates must be able to research complex tax issues, formulate, and develop recommendations for management. Knowledge of integrated tax software as well as Microsoft Office is also required. Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to make decisions independently, and the ability to provide technical assistance and training to others.



Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with an accounting emphasis. The ideal candidate will hold a Master's degree in Taxation. ?CPA highly desirable.? This position is open on compensation and does included a bonus and we have several position with similar requirements in Downtown, innerloop, and west Houston.?
