Shutterfly Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst will work closely with Shutterfly?s Director of Business Planning and Sr. Financial Planning Analyst in supporting Shutterfly?s financial planning process.  A strong candidate will be able to work with individual departments to implement the necessary process and controls to ensure that actual financial performance is in line with forecast.  Additionally, this person will be responsible for presenting key business insights and recommendations to the Finance team and individual departments.  The position reports directly to the Sr. Financial Planning Analyst.

 

Responsibilities include:

 Preparing monthly budget vs. actual variance analysesWorking closely with departments and accounting to prepare accruals at the beginning of each monthWorking closely with various departments to provide operational analysis and reporting Assisting in the creation and maintenance of department level key metric dashboards Assisting in the development and maintenance of a 12-month rolling forecastMaintaining and tracking competitor dataPerforming ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisionsManaging and maintaining lists of key metrics used for external reporting purposes

 

Experience & Requirements:

 

B.S. degree in finance, accounting, or economics2-3 years of financial planning and analysis experience in a large growth company Experience should include reporting responsibilities and analytical projectsExcellent Excel skillsSystems savvy - experience with budgeting and business analytical packages is a plusExperience with Great Plains accounting system and Crystal Reports reporting is a plusStrong communication and relationship building skills with the ability to interpret and summarize data to aid management in achieving strategic and operational goalsAble to work in a fast pace, high-growth environment
