The Credit Team Lead will manage a team of Credit Approval Officers with overall responsibility for the approval/credit application process from point of application through decision.  Builds a cohesive team dedicated to meeting the needs of its customers through proactive communication and coaching.


 


Job Duties: 


Manages a team of Credit Approval Officers with overall responsibility for the credit application process from point of application through approval.  Proactively seeks new ideas, which would improve the level of service provided, loan dollars booked and reduce costs.  Monitor credit quality targets and adherence to turn time goals. Coaches employees and monitors their improvement based on feedback received from the field, peers, and on achievement of production and quality targets.  Assures adherence to Credit Policy and all Fair Lending, CRA and other compliance regulations.  Consistently communicates with and seeks input from others including the field to identify and remove obstacles in achieving goals.  Acts as a resource in the credit decision process.

Customer focused individual with expert knowledge of credit products and processes.  Strong organizational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.  Proven leadership abilities.  Extensive knowledge of JPMC credit philosophy and policies.  Thorough understanding of commercial credit structures, loan documentation, bankruptcy and related legal issues.



Desired Background/Training:


Bachelor's degree preferably in business with Accounting and Finance courses. 
 5+ years business lending experience. 
1-3 years Managerial/Supervisory experience.
