The Linksys SOX/Audit Program Manager will be responsible for Global Sarbanes Oxley 404 initiatives. This position is also responsible for managing the Linksys Global policies/procedures and providing technical accounting guidance to various groups. This position will report to the Linksys Corporate Controller and is based in Irvine California. Some infrequent travel is required within the USA, Asia and Europe based on business needs as determined by management.


 

Responsibilities include:
SOX compliance execution, including continuous improvement of the processes, and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance.
Executing SOX strategy decisions, scoping and planning and responsible for execution.
Managing and improving the ongoing change management process.  Reviewing and refining key controls around significant financial processes and accounts. 
Review of deficiencies and monitoring of status of remediation;
Identify areas and processes for improvement and propose recommendations; 
Assisting SOX 404 program management in design & oversight of all compliance processes (including self assessment tools, testing programs and tools); 
Performing SOX scoping and ensuring control instances correctly reflected in SOX system;
Partner with the finance, business/operations and/or IT SOX 404 process owners to help ensure ongoing compliance;
Ensuring the SOX 404 program management has visibility to downstream processes and results;
Establishing and communicating standardized practices with sites and functions around the world
Involvement in driving cross-functional involvement in ongoing SOX program to ensure integration of business process owners in SOX 404 process;  Providing walkthrough training and guidance.

 

Experience Required:

Expertise on SOX 404 compliance including segregation of duties compliance;
CPA with Big 4 or large regional public accounting firm;
COSO, internal audit, process and operational audit experience;
IT audits of major ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle and Peoplesoft.  (highly desired)
Strong analytic, organization, and communication (written, spoken) skills
Very strong project management skills, results driven;
Willingness to travel based on business needs as determined by management.
Experience implementing or managing SOX programs, developing SOX documentation, conducting walkthroughs or SOX testing, reviewing SOX effectiveness.
