Sr Accountant/Assistant Controller Needed for Creative Company in Somerset

This creative company is searching for an individual to manage it's financial operations.

 

The company is located in Somerset, NJ and below are the major responsibilities are listed:

 

Main Responsibilities

? To manage the financial control processes of the business according to best practice, including:

? Monthly management accounts produced in a timely and accurate process for submission to Group CFO/COO.  To include meaningful commentary of material variances against approved Budget.

? Financial accounting including tax and other statutory compliance.

? Cash flow planning including working with the Bank and other funding providers.

? Forecasting with the general manager in the NJ office

? Working capital management including AR and AP control, and treasury optimization.

? Liaison with company accountants, bank and lawyers.

 

? To work with US staff to ensure the following areas of operations are managed in an efficient fashion:

? Job system, including opening, filing and subsequent closure.

? Billing, including time sheet review and reporting.

 

? To maintain responsibility for the following areas of US office administration, ensuring review for value and appropriateness of cover:

? Insurances.

? Oversight of our benefit administration vendor.

 

 

Experience:

-5+ yrs experience in accounting

-Degree in Accounting

-CPA/MBA preferred but not a must
