Sr Accountant Corporate M&A team

Our client is in a tremendous growth mode. They have doubled in revenue each of the last three consecutive years and are actively on the hunt for aqusition targets.

The Senior Accountant is responsible for?

Analyzing and interpreting aquisition target financial information as well as accurately compiling and reporting this information.

Proactively researches and documents conclusions on accounting issues with appropriate references to relevant GAAP pronouncements.

Documents abnormalities or significant changes, takes corrective action where necessary and reports this information to management.

This position requires a thorough knowledge of general accounting principles and their application as well as a demonstrated ability to apply these in the business context and will require research and documentation of technical accounting issues.

Interaction with various levels of management within and outside of Finance, Internal and External Audit Teams, and participation in cross-functional projects will be a routine part of the job. This position operates with minimal supervision and needs little or no supervision when given new assignments, making decisions based on acquired skills and knowledge. May have responsibility for supervising or providing guidance to other accountants with similar occupational skills or limited scope of responsibility.

The Senior Accountant position is a leadership position within the accounting team. The candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, capable of handling multiple tasks, possess good organizational, communication and analytical skills, able to work independently and be extremely flexible. The Senior Accountant welcomes challenging/complex projects and has demonstrated an ability for working ?smarter not harder? by making continuous improvement to the efficiency of processes he/she contributes to.
