Sr Analyst

4 month Contract

Provide financial decision-making information by collecting, analyzing, and reporting financial and operational data.

REQUIREMENTS:

BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or an equivalent combination of education and related business experience.
Plus a minimum of four (4) years of experience in accounting / budgeting.
Strong computer modeling skills.
Oracle Financial experience is highly preferred.
Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy.
Superior analytical skills with the ability to resolve issues and develop new processes when necessary.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and persuade with a positive attitude.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-passed environment while meeting critical deadlines.
Strong knowledge in Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
High-tech industry experience is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses.
Prepare monthly Variance reports by collecting, analyzing, and explaining in detail the actual results vs. Plans/Target.
Prepare comparative analysis of operating programs by analyzing cost drivers in relation to services performed, and provide business reasons for the variance to target.
Provide management with planning and control information by assembling and analyzing historical financial data; identifying trends; providing forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; and recommending actions.
Assist in the preparation of semi-annual budgets and monthly forecasts; process month-end close; and ensure compliance with budget by reviewing expenditures of the departments.
Perform other duties as may be assigned.
