The Architect, a key member of the Finance and Portfolio Technology architecture team will be responsible for all aspects of the business intelligence architecture for the Finance Data Warehouse and Financial Reporting technology platform.


 


The candidate will draft Finance and Portfolio-wide architectural standards conforming to enterprise Guiding Principles and standards for management review, including developing and recommending data and database policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures applicable to the business intelligence space. Develop and consult on the use of the BI Architecture. Participate in monitoring and analyzing performance and utilization of the BI architecture and recommend appropriate technical and cost-effective solutions.


 


The individual in this position will have a high level of contact with team members and project managers in the finance data warehouse, architects from within the Finance and Portfolio Technology area, Technology Architecture Group, and data related infrastructure support team members and managers.  Some director level interactions with project sponsors and support team areas. Executive level presentations and participation in project kickoff/pre-project activities. The individual will have direct and constant interaction with our business sponsors and customers in the Capital Markets and Controller's divisions. 


 


Reviewing and architecting solutions to support new business intelligence needs and ensuring customers employ Reporting Best Practices with a strong focus on universe design and design patterns for dynamic flexible reports.

Working with Configuration Management Teams to support migrations and deployments of customer reports to life cycle environments.

Certifying new versions and configurations for use at Fannie Mae. 

Assisting developers with resolving report and/or environment issues impacting use of the Business Objects Technology Stack.

Developing and/or implementing tools and processes to improve supportability of BOXI platform and adherence to Fannie Mae Corporate Guidelines and availability requirements


 






Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Candidate must have a minimum of 8 years of experience developing and/or supporting Business Objects and/or Crystal Reports platforms and reporting functionality, and a minimum of 12 years experience in technology related positions.
1 year experience required supporting or developing solutions with Business Objects XI release 1 or 2. Experience supporting multiple and dynamic heirarchies is preferred.
Experience with BO Data Integrator or other ETL software is preferred.
Experience working with Universes, Business Views, Crystal Reports, OLAP Intelligence, Web Intelligence Documents, CMC, and other BOBJ tools are required. Experience with Kalido DIW or MDM is preferred.
Experience with Hyperion Essbase version 6 and above.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential to the position.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment are also required.
Excellent project management and time management skills are essential. Previous experience leading small teams of contractors and employees or functioning as a project lead is preferred, as candidate will be responsible for leading small support projects working with consultants and other non-team members.
