Description:

Serve as a key member of the Finance Data Initiatives (FDI) team that supports pre-staged asset data for the restatement. This position requires a professional self-starter who can quickly understand customer needs and translate them into actionable items for the restatement effort. In general, job activities include:

1. Responsible for coordinating/supporting analysis of clients' data needs and providing solutions to address the needs of the restatement. Assist with managing priorities across work streams.

2. Responsible for performing analysis on data within the source systems and assess appropriate use of the information to support restatement's business needs. This involves understanding the data relationships, sources of data, reconciliation issues, and uses of the data in order to provide the correct information to address the business requirements. Accuracy and timeliness of delivering information is essential.

3. Responsible for developing and maintaining the appropriate controls for ensuring high quality data are provided. This includes developing and maintaining documentation of operational processes, reconciliations, data mapping and data dictionaries.

4. Foster on-going relationship management with various individuals and groups that provide business perspectives necessary to deliver accurate and consistent data solutions for the restatement. Includes working closely with both the source system staff and clients.

5. Provide data expertise, respond to management requests, and translate business requirements into specifications for technical support by our restatement partners.

Requirements:

1. Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or Business Administration or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree. An MBA and/or CPA desired.

2. Must have 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in mortgage banking in financial reporting, public accounting, large corporate internal audit department, or financial operations with a minimum of five years Secondary mortgage banking and data warehousing business knowledge desired. Fannie Mae experience preferred.

3. Candidate must be able to work independently and assume responsibility for managing projects and project deliverables. Additionally, the successful candidate must have the flexibility to handle multiple assignments at once.

4. Candidate must have exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities and an understanding of financial analysis and technical operations.

5. As an FDI representative, the candidate will have responsibility for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with peers and with management outside the department. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential to the position. Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment are also required.

6. Experience with computers is required. Working knowledge of mainframe, client/server, and Oracle or other data base software is desirable.

Overtime is required as needed to meet periodic deadlines.
